Lazy Dogs on Sunny Days

Last Sunday, I visited an Artisan's Market at Frome in Somerset. Lots of interesting stalls. One street away, I passed this name plate on the side of a house. It reminded me of dogs sleeping in the noon-day sun and I just had to photograph it. Owen Phillips shoots lots of signs and other captivating images on his marvellous blog - Magic Lantern Show. As I write this, I have just realised what it is about Owens pictures. He is the modern day 'Henri Cartier-Bresson. Go to his blog, right now!

  1. I didn't notice the sketch until you pointed it out--incredible how much it expresses in just a few deftly-drawn lines. Glad you found this!

  2. Thanks, Margaret. It's a bit overcast here so no lying on the grass this afternoon!

  3. I'm sorry, Laurie. I'm sure you look for every second of comfort you can get. How are you doing?
I would like to congratulate you for the awards. I think you have the most compelling blog in the sphere.

  4. Thank you, Margaret. Funnily enough, actually it is not funny but I suffered a third separate injury to my knee at the weekend. This time, I hurt the cartilage inside the knee. I will write s stiff memo to myself. I will not engage in break dancing, marathon running, bungey jumping and gymnastics!

Actually, I don't engage in any of those things, but you have to keep a sense of humour at times of pain!!

Thank you for being so complimentary about my blog. I appreciate your support.
    Sincerely
    Laurie
