Now it has been a real pleasure for me over the past few weeks taking a magical journey through the blogosphere of illustrator talent - and I have seen some fantastic work. One that caught my eye, is the blog Buttons and Creative Things by Mary Harris. In her blog, she has published a fascinating insight into how she has been developing a new book idea for a work entitled Albert the Moon Rabbit. There are examples of trial layout compositions, character development and much, much more taken directly from Mary's sketchbooks. What I want you all to do is to go and visit Mary's blog and enjoy the experience. Owen, Margaret, Liz, Sharon and the rest of you - go there right now! Click HERE to start your journey.
Thanks, Laurie! I'm orf!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laurie, I hope my blog lives up to your wonderful write up, will be posting again soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for everything x
Laurie, she's wonderful! I couldn't believe the transformation of the shed into such a lovely, cozy studio. Hey Diddle, Diddle reminded me of Sharon's art: the red zebra v. the red cow. Albert the Moon Rabbit is going to be a big hit. It's The Little Prince all over again, and Albert couldn't be cuter! Do you think she wants feedback? There seems to be only one place at the very end.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, No problem. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Margaret,I hope you are fully recovered now? Mary's work is good isn't it and I am really envious she has a shed-studio to die for!
ReplyDeleteI am sure she would welcome feedback. I had the same problem and it took me a while to realise the comment place was right at the bottom . . . I think it was a technical glitch that caused the natural breaks between subjects (along with the comments sections) not to appear. Mosey along to her blog and leave her some feedback (and a follow) - I am sure she would appreciate it.
