Dandelion Clocks

Taking a stroll recently, something prompted me to look over a fence and I was amazed to see a field full of dandelions. Here is close up of the dandelion clocks which were such a joy for everyone when they were children and - if they care to admit it - in adulthood too! Now, when was the last time you blew on dandelion heads to find out the time?

  1. I've never heard them called "clocks" and am ignorant about telling time by them! As a child I believed that the floating seeds were fairies. I was instructed not to blow on the heads because that would make more dandelions grow and there was a war on between them and my mother. Guess who won?

  3. How VERY magical! I want to run through 'em in a stiff breeze! Faery fluffs floating through the air....what a wonderful photo. It fills my eyes.
