I suppose if you reach the great age of 103, then you are fully entitled to a nice cake and lots of flowers. Unfortunately, I don't know the significance of the costume/outfit she is wearing. It seems a bit sophisticated for Sunday Best.
What a lovely photograph. I really like the composition here, especially how the fence trails behind her. They remind me of birthday candles...I think I'm losing my mind today. :) Maureen
