I went to a bric-a-brac fair yesterday and looked through the Dog section of a postcard dealer's stock. Most were Jack Russells with multiple puppies, but there were some others. I share them here.
Ha they do look very detached from the dog. People in old photos always seem to have the exact same facial expression. Kind of zen. Like, "It's not bad, it's not good. It's fine. Photograph taken? Lovely."
Notice how neither matron is touching the dog? Is it even theirs? Do they like cats better? Are they alive? Sorry, it's the Gin & Tonic talking...
