Little Fluffy Clouds

Sometimes, when I stare at the sky, the clouds seem more active than normal. These are very fluffy. Is there a name for this type of cloud formation?

    Now I know there is a name but darn if I can remember. Too many years since studying in school. LOL
    I do tend to think of them as cotton clouds.

    Hmm, I don't know, but it is pretty. It makes me think of a quilted mattress pad.

    fluffy clouds are cumulus clouds....I love this photo by the way...

    The first thing that came to my mind was scudding clouds--but I think they're flat cumulus. Your photo is exquisite!
