Looking at this print I made from a glass plate negative, I think this cat and dog must have come to some sort of agreement to pose for the photographer. I can detect that the cat is not quite relaxed. What do you think?
I'm thinking the cat is growling and as soon as the photographer moved the cat skulked away along the fence, jumping to "freedom" while the dog sat wagging the tip of it's tail as the photographer said, "That's a good doggie." The cat was not seen again until dinner time.
